HNCDI is a large-scale testing institution integrating highway engineering, bridge and tunnel engineering, water transport engineering, construction engineering testing and evaluation, engineering experimental research, maglev technology research and development, pavement consulting services, bridge and tunnel construction monitoring and health monitoring, highway maintenance design, and safety assessment. It serves as the chairman unit of the Hunan Provincial Traffic Construction Engineering Testing and Inspection Association. HNCDI holds testing and inspection qualifications for "Comprehensive Class-A in Highway Engineering", "Specialized in Highway Engineering Bridge and Tunnel Engineering", "Class-A in Water Transport Engineering Structure", and "Class-B in Water Transport Engineering Materials", as well as construction engineering quality inspection qualifications. HNCDI is also the "Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Central South Highway Construction and Maintenance Technology" and a science popularization education base in Hunan Province. Currently, HNCDI boasts 2,325 square meters of testing rooms and 2,670 square meters of office space, equipped with nearly 800 sets of various advanced instruments and equipment, with a total value of 40 million CNY. HNCDI has won nearly 20 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards and excellent engineering survey awards, and has edited or co-edited 8 provincial and ministerial-level specifications.
